IN EXHIBITION NEWS
I don’t think I need to mention that 2020 was a challenging year on all fronts for everyone. That said I was I was very happy when I was invited to submit work for two unique exhibitions in Europe:
1. NICHT MUSEUM ZEITGEMÄßER KUNST (nonmuseum for contemporary art) Dresden Neumarkt, July 25, 2020 (view website)
As the curators stated “Works of art, productions, performances, readings and much more were shown under impossible conditions – while there are no other conditions than those.”
Two new images of mine were shown: New Venice Sparkles 1 & 2, pinhole images with some darkroom magic 2019.

2. IMAGE ENVOYÉE / IMAGE SENT: A celebratory project for 50th Anniversary of the Canadian Cultural Centre in Paris, September 17 – October 16, 2020
Artists who had a history with the centre were asked to make images, never seen before, that were inspired by the following:
What would be significant images of your environment (made by you), images that mean something important to you (landscape, land, place, community, people, with a political or personal or poetic dimension), images specifically addressed to France?
View the work on the Image Sent Exhibition website.
IN WORKSHOP NEWS
The Institute of Unusual Studies (Dianne Bos and Sarah Fuller) had to cancel their June 2020 photography workshop in France. We hope to offer our unique one-week analog photography course in France during the fall of 2021.
Primarily a week-long photo-based workshop exploring low-tech photography techniques in traditional silver gelatin and historical processes, our workshops also allow participants the opportunity to explore this region’s rich cultural history and encourages using this as a launching point for their projects.
Contact us at: [email protected] to get on our mailing list.
And finally . . .
I have also been invited to teach a pinhole workshop as part of the incredible Experimental Photography Festival in Barcelona, July 20-25, 2021. For details click here.
